Age: 23 Hometown: Calgary AB, currently living in Victoria
Schooling: At the University of Victoria chipping away at a Kinesiology Degree
Years of biking competitively: Currently in my 4th year biking.

Years with the team: 2nd go around. The team dynamic is unreal with TRT as we are all good friends and keep it very light when racing. That being said when its go time, it’s on. I have been given the nickname Tweak and/or Twitch and it has certainly stuck. Being a very excitable and slightly ADHD person keeps it interesting around the set-up and in the hotels.

Past sporting experience: Played high level basketball and football. It was actually pursuit of a University football career that brought me to the west coast.

How you got into the sport: When I realized football was not the path for me I was in search of an athletic outlet and would cruise around on a beat up old mountain bike. The beauty of Victoria continually drew me on rides farther from home to areas that eventually a broken old commuter bike couldn’t take me. I picked up one of them slick tired, curly handle-barred velos and took to the streets with a fury. My circle of friends included several racers and I was quick to catch the bug that plagues/blesses all bikers. 30 lbs of upper body later and I am addicted to pushing physical limits on a two wheeler.

Riding strengths: Not breaking when I jump on the ground. If a background in contact sports has any carry-over it is certainly in my durability. My favourite aspect of biking is stage racing, so to that effect I would say I’m one of those all ‘rounders.

Hobbies: I thoroughly enjoy board sports. In Mt Hood I was elated to see a mini ramp in our host house’s garage. Snowboarding is hands down my favourite escape when the snow falls. I am a poser surfer trapped in a cyclist's body.
