Wednesday Nighter - VCL Newton Heights

I love being able to ride to the start of bike races. Last night was one of the first local circuit races in Victoria and Trek Red Truck had some numbers! The circuit was challenging, it’s basically hill sprints for an hour. I felt rather ill at some moments. For Annie and I, we were still feeling a bit stale from the Tour of Walla Walla, but it was nice being able to push through, work together, and put in a good effort all the while feeling a little worse for wear. Nic, Craig and Dan seemed to be flying around the course. Nic, fresh off his win in Walla Walla made it two in a row! It was a fun evening with the team, we pushed through some rough feeling legs, then grabbed our coats, biked home, and completed a solid three hours of training. Not bad for a Wednesday night!
